On March 6, 2024, my hometown of Sumy, Ukraine, was attacked by Russian drones. One of these drones exploded right in front of my house, where my mother and grandmother currently reside. Thankfully, they are unharmed and safe. The shockwave from the explosion shattered the windows and damaged the balcony. It also caused a rupture in the gas pipe, which has since been repaired. One of the drone fragments, shown in the attached picture, flew through the balcony, entered my room, bounced off the ceiling, and became embedded in the concrete wall. It’s fortunate that no one was in the room at the time.
