(1) Four-year-old Liza killed by russian attack on Vinnytsia. The four-year-old was one of three young children killed on Thursday when Russian missiles hit the centre of Vinnytsia. Her mother, Iryna Dmytriyeva, was seriously injured in the attack. Twenty-three people are known to have lost their lives and another eight are still missing. Dozens more are in hospital.
(2) Iovenki family. Russian soldiers shot a peaceful couple in Kyiv region. On March 7, the Iovenki family - father, mother and a six-year-old boy - were traveling in a car along the Zhytomyr highway. Maksym Iovenko was killed when he got out of the car, raised his hands and shouted that there was a child in his car. They also killed Maxim's wife, Ksenia. She managed to cover her son with her body.
(3) British volunteer Paul Urie died in russian captivity. Urey was captured at the end of April along with another Briton, Dylan Healy. They were detained by "Donetsk Peopleʼs Republic" fighters south of Zaporizhzhia. The men tried to get to the Russian-controlled territory through the checkpoint in order to take the woman and her family away.
(4) Mariupol. “Mariupol is now a city of ghosts,” at least 22,000 residents of the city were killed during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Russian occupiers conducted innumerable quantity of air strikes, missiles, artillery, phosphorous bombs and everything that a barbarian can use against humanity.
(5) Head Blown Off. On one of the beaches of Odesa, a young man was blown up by a mine on his birthday. Going against all the prohibitions and requests, he had gone swimming. His head was blown off.
(6) The Bucha massacre. The Bucha massacre (Ukrainian: Бучанська різанина) was the killing and abuse of Ukrainian civilians by Russian Armed Forces during the fight for and occupation of the Ukrainian city of Bucha amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Photographic and video evidence of the massacre emerged on 1 April 2022 after Russian forces withdrew from the city. According to the mayor and other local authorities, approximately 1,300 bodies have been recovered from the town and surrounding areas, including 31 children. Photos showed corpses of civilians, lined up with their hands bound behind their backs, shot at point-blank range, which ostensibly gave proof that summary executions had taken place. An inquiry by Radio Free Europe reported the use of a basement beneath a campground as a torture chamber. Many bodies were found mutilated and burnt, and girls as young as fourteen reported being raped by Russian soldiers. Ukraine has asked the International Criminal Court to investigate what happened in Bucha as part of its ongoing investigation of the invasion in order to determine whether a series of Russian war crimes or crimes against humanity were committed.
(7) Ukraine Refugee. The war in Ukraine has caused death and suffering on a dramatic scale and left at least 17.6 million people in urgent need of humanitarian assistance and protection. At the end of October 2022, over 6.5 million people are estimated to be internally displaced, while 7.8 million refugees from Ukraine have been recorded across Europe, most of them women and children (According to UNHCR data, 2023).
