The project dedicated to "The Factory" of Ricardo Bofill and its relationship with memory. The project considers the concept of architecture as a means of transmitting information and reflects on the importance of urban memory. The work, which is called «The Transformation», presents a fragment of the urban area of Sant Just Desvern (Barcelona, Spain) where three maps of the years 1890, 1930 and 2019 are superimposed and shows its urban evolution and the great speed of the changes that it has experienced in the last hundred years. And in this whirlwind of changes there is an architectural complex that is different from the entire environment we see around it. The architectural complex known as "La Fábrica" managed to preserve the memory of the place, give it a new life and prevent this site from dissolving in the chaos of change. The "Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura" has a close relationship with the past and, therefore, with memory and thus, in addition to its historical and aesthetic value it functions as a "time capsule" that travels through time and transmits information to the next generations.
