Mykola Kornilov (born in 1985 in Sumy, Ukraine) is an architect, curator, researcher, and multidisciplinary artist based in Barcelona, Spain. He holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from the National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture (NAVAA) and a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Art from the Sumy College of Arts and Culture (CAC). His education in both architecture and visual art influenced his work, where the two disciplines are inseparable and constantly in dialogue. This intersection between art and architecture has led him to explore the concept of landscape—whether natural or urban—viewing it not as a mere backdrop but as an active force that shapes human perception and experience.
Starting in 2022-23, he actively began participating in various art exhibitions and curatorial projects, including: collective exhibition in TEO, Israel; Solo exhibition in Centro Cívico Can Castelló; Art installation "Murder Man" at WAC Lab Valkiria; Art performance at Barcelona City Hall. Curator and artist of the "446+" project in Cercle Artístic Sant Lluc; Co-curator and author of the "Vesna" project at the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC); Curator and artist of collective exhibitions at Alta Diagonal 640; Co-curator of the "Design for Real Time" project in Museu del Disseny de Barcelona.

Beyond what is showcased on the website, the artist has experienced other significant and intriguing artistic periods.
(1) "Sumy Period" (2001-2007). During this perios, Kornilov made a large number of drawings, paintings and illustrations. Ukrainian traditional decorative art and naïve (with its own anterpretations and adaptation of modern theme) had a significant influence on the formation of the first artistic period of the young artist.
(2) "Arch Period" (2008-2020). During this period, the artist was strongly influenced by architectural education.
